Support the Students First Initiative to help the endowment grow.

Financial aid is one of our students greatest concerns.

Begun as a five-year endowment initiative, the Students First Initiative is designed to grow an endowment to support students with both Merit-Based and Need-Based Scholarships. We must reward achievement to attract the best and brightest students. Less than 25% of Financial Aid comes from the Endowment, but for an institution our size and composition the amount should be twice as much. This ongoing initiative will assist us in increasing support to merit-based students.

Financial aid is one of our students' greatest concerns and is often a barrier to student retention and graduation. Some 96% of Lincoln students receive financial assistance, including federal and state grants and loans. Sixty-four percent are the first in their families to attend college and more than 50% are from single parent headed households, whose families earn less than $45,000 annually. While many students work full or part-time jobs, most graduate with a loan debt in excess of $40,000.
